National Conference 2012

FIRST THINGS

As camping professionals we are asked to be a lot of things to a lot of people. But first and foremost we are children of God, called to lead others to Christ through our words and actions. In light of this, the NLOMA 2012 conference will focus on three areas:
  • Life Together: Living and working in an intentional Christian
    Community
  • Life Lessons: Teaching the Faith
  • Life of a Leader: Leading through
    prayer and vulnerability

REV. BILL YONKER
Rev William Yonker serves as Senior Pastor for Immanuel Lutheran Church, East Dundee, IL and a graduate of Valparaiso University and Concordia St. Louis. He has served in diverse ministry settings, including inner city ministry (Berea Lutheran Church, Detroit, Mich. and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Chicago, Ill.) He has a heart for teaching and disciple-ing others.

Experience a balance of rest and play with athletic courts, and rocking chairs for quiet reflection. Other activities at Lutheridge include:

  • hiking the surrounding wetlands
    and forests of North Carolina
  • Asheville—Biltmore Estate, skiing, Blue Ridge Parkway
  • Fitness room, indoor climbing

REV DR SCOTT BRUEZEK
Dr. Bruezek is the Senior Pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, Wheaton, Illinois. He
has received advanced degrees from Cambridge University and Princeton Seminary in systematic theology, with doctoral work on the Lord's Supper. His interests lie in pastoral care, the incarnational life, teaching, and missions.
